Innovative and artistic Irish talent to light up Clonmel festival

When Next We Meet music festival is eagerly anticipated

The When Next We Meet music festival at Raheen House in Clonmel is fast approaching,
The Nationalist will be doing a weekly run down on what you can expect from this exciting local boutique music festival.

When Next We Meet organisers have carefully curated a weekend of Irish and local music that creates an epic electronic music celebration onSaturday July 22, while Sunday offers music to soothe the soul.
Taking place outdoors in thestunning gardens of Raheen House Hotel,When Next We Meet is an immersive festival experience without the mud, portaloos or long journeys to remote locations.
Sunday July 23 follows on from a wall-to-wall epic summer party on the previous night.

After the electric events of the night before, SundayJuly 23 offers a line up that has been curated as the perfect way to end the weekend.

With an unparalleled line-up of innovative, artistic Irish talent, When Next We Meet is must-go event for Tipperary audiences.
Lisa Hannigan is one of the most instantly recognisable voices in Ireland and beyond. A versatile Irish folk singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and voice actor, whose solo musical career has spanned 17 years.
July 23 at Raheen House will see Lisa Hannigan give an exceptionally special performance against a bewitching backdrop of vocalists and cello.

This is an unmissable performance from one of Irelands most celebrated artist’s–truly something to be experienced in the unique surrounds of the walled garden.

Niamh Regan is a critically acclaimed songwriter from county Galway, Ireland. Her debut album Hemet announced her arrival as one of the most distinctive songwriters in Ireland today.
Earning nominations for both the RTE Folk Awards’and the Choice Awards’Album of the Year, the album received soaring praise, and led to performances on The Late Late Show,Other Voices and La Blogothèque.

A natural storyteller, Regan’s songs are windows into her world, snapshots of the intimacy of everyday life.
Niamh will be performing a stunning live set with cello at When Next We Meet on Sunday July 23.

Bringing local talent to the national stage is part of When Next We Meet’s mission.
Andrew Smyth, releasing music as Smythy, grew up locally and is returning home with his band to open the stage before Niamh Regan and Lisa Hannigan.
Smythy is proof of the incredible talent that is nurtured locally. The local artist’s acoustic stage in the garden will provide a much needed platform for local artist’s to share their music with an attentive audience. Music ends at the earlier time of 10.30pm on Sunday the July 23, but for those who don’t want the celebrations to end the exclusive after party will continue into the night for lucky ticket holders.
