All set for family day out at North Tipperary Agricultural Show on bank holiday Monday

Aishling Rafferty will perform at the North Tipperary Agricultural Show in Nenagh on bank holiday Monday

The organisers of the North Tipperary Agricultural Show will be hoping that the grey skies of July will give way to August sunshine when the annual show takes place next Monday.

First run in 1875, the show, commonly referred to as the “Nenagh Show” will have all the usual cattle and sheep and pony sections. However, once again there will be no showjumping competitions.

Arts and crafts are always a big draw and you can also expect mouthwatering cakes and goodies in the baking section.

There will be something for everyone to enjoy, with bouncy castles, face painting and a fancy dress competition for children with plenty of prizes to the won. The fancy dress theme is The Greatest Showman movie.

Woolys pet farm will be at the show with a fantastic variety of animals both big and small - and they will also be bringing a very special guest animal on the day which cannot be missed.

There will be a dog show and music from the likes of Nenagh Ormond Brass Band, Bubba Shakespeare and Ceol Tíre star Aishling Rafferty.

The show also hosts Nenagh Vintage Car Club’s annual display and expect to see plenty of classic and vintage cars and tractors on show.
The event is being held in the Showgrounds, Borrisokane road, Nenagh, with plenty of car parking available.
