The event was organised by Rockwell Rovers GAA club, including Geraldine, Mary from the Senior Club, Isobel from the Social committee, Martina from the Ladies' Gaelic Football Association, Louise from the Camogie Association, and Elaine from the Juvenile committee. Several speakers took the stage during the occasion, including Fr. Jack Meade and Fr Brendan Duggan from Rockwell College, Fr. Bobby Fletcher from New Inn, John Hally, the Chairman of Rockwell Rovers, Jimmy Looby, the President of Rockwell Rovers, Kevin Barron from Rockwell Rovers, and Diarmuid himself. Diarmuid spoke about his time playing with Rockwell Rovers, the skills he had obtained playing with his local gaa club and his current experience with Munster. The event was captured in photos by Tadgh Mohally. MC on the night was John Cooney who summed up Diarmuid's career to date including Munster’s URC cup final win, Ireland A rugby team and Ireland U20 team for two years.
