New bus connections serving a number of rural Tipperary communities are welcomed

A number of new local bus services are on the way for the Nenagh Municipal District, Cllr Joe Hannigan revealed at the October meeting of the district council.

A new link from Portumna will serve the lakeside the villages of Lorrha, Coolbawn, Dromineer and Ballycommon, ending in Nenagh, while another new service will cover Portumna to Borrisokane twice daily in 2024, he said.

Cllr Hannigan, welcoming the services, called on the Council to look at where ditches and overhanging trees might need to be looked at ahead of their introduction
