Fun and thought-provoking events are lined up in Tipperary for this year's Science Week

Science Week, a national celebration of science, is running from November 12-19 with hundreds of fun, engaging and interactive events taking place nationwide.

This year’s Science Week aims to spark a national conversation about what it means to be human in today’s world, and how the decisions we make today will impact the people and world of the future.

The people of Tipperary are being asked to get involved in the Human? conversation and to consider what lies ahead for future generations. From the climate emergency to social interaction and artificial intelligence, how will future generations be impacted?

This year the Tipperary Festival of Science has online and in-person events for people of all ages to enjoy. Some events taking place in Tipperary not to be missed include:

- Jon Chase ‘Rap Science’ Planet Earth, Nenagh Arts Centre, November 13, 11am. Join qualified Science communicator and professional science rapper Jon Chase in this Science Week 2023 Rap Science performance as he blends together two of his passions, science and music.

- How Science Could Help You be Superhuman, Cashel Library, November 16, 4pm. In this event, Dr Barry Fitzgerald (The Superhero Scientist) will explore current scientific advancements that look likely to help humans become superhumans (and even superheroes) sooner rather than later.
