The Byrne family from Tipperary Town - Tommy, Aoife, Tony and Cathal - are through to the quarter final of this year's Ireland's Fittest Family.
The quarter finals kick off in a brand new location – The Farm at Finnegan’s Farm in county Meath, a fifth-generation potato farm in the heart of the Boyne Valley.
Sonia’s Byrnes family from Tipperary; Donncha’s Bonnar family from Waterford; Donncha’s Peters family from Waterford and Nina’s Murphy family from Carlow are battling it out for a place in the semi-final.
With just one team left in the game, Davy Fitz in on the benches until next week.
The Byrnes, with a marathon and Ironman competitors amongst them, are keen to show their skills.
The Peters family felt that they didn't perform their best in Season 10. After losing by only three seconds last season, they are back once again to prove to themselves that they are up for the competition.
The Murphy family from Carlow is going all out to showcase their strengths, even giving up biscuits! From kayaking to ultimate frisbee, the Murphys are ready to prove themselves.
With an All-Ireland winning hurler on the team, the Bonnars from Tipperary are ready to demonstrate their credentials and take on any challenge!
New presenter Laura Fox is on the hunt to find the nation’s Fittest Family. She’s not the only new kid on the block, as legendary athlete Sonia O’Sullivan will be joining Nina Carberry, Davy Fitzgerald and Donncha O’Callaghan to push the families to their limits and over the finish line for the coveted title and €15,000.
This season, the coaches are more competitive than ever and ready to train the fittest families in the country as they tackle some gruelling physical challenges.
Fresh from last year's victory, Davy Fitzgerald is determined to make it two in a row this year. The other three coaches are aiming to prevent him from claiming another win, with newcomer Sonia O'Sullivan eager to leverage her Olympic credentials for a debut victory.
The families will fight for glory and the coveted title of Ireland's Fittest Family on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player, Sunday, November 26, at 6.30pm.
