Side windows in four cars parked in Tipperary Town were smashed late at night last week.
The cars parked at Lakelands, James Connolly Park, St Michael’s Avenue and Pearse Park, Tipperary were damaged sometime between midnight on Thursday, January 4 and 6am on Friday, January 5.
Gardaí believe the culprits’ motive was to try and steal the vehicles though none were taken.
A Tipperary Garda Station spokesman appealed to anyone with information that may assist their investigation into this crime spree to contact the station at (062) 80670.
Meanwhile, gardaí in Clonmel have urged motorists to ensure their vehicles are locked when they leave them unattended in the wake of recent car break-ins in the town.
