Hotel in Tipperary helped the needy during the festive season

Talbot Hotel Clonmel staff made the presentation to the local branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul

The team at the Talbot Hotel Clonmel, were delighted to be able to support the local branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul as their Charity of Choice this Christmas.

The local branch of Vincent de Paul does tremendous work. In addition to providing direct assistance to those in need, it provides care for the homeless, provides social housing, operates holiday homes and other social support activities. The society promotes community self-sufficiency, enabling people to help themselves.

All teams across all of the sister hotels in the Talbot Collection properties took part in the Giving Tree initiative for St Vincent de Paul this year.

This initiative is a novel approach to supporting local families, and in particular the children so that they could also experience the magic of Christmas.

The team erected a Christmas tree in the hotel and hung a tag that represented a local child in need. All the team took a tag and bought a gift for that child.

Well done to all the team who gave so willingly, which showed that the festive spirit was well and truly alive in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.
