Stray dogs attack people in residential area of Tipperary

A council official said the incidents would be followed up as a matter of urgency

A number of people in the Old Bridge area of Clonmel have been attacked by roaming dogs, Cllr Pat English stated at a meeting of Clonmel Borough District.

He said that some of those attacked needed to have stitches inserted in their wounds.

Denis Holland, of Tipperary County Council’s Environment and Climate Action section, said that this would be followed up as a matter of urgency, considering the serious incidents with dogs that had happened in other parts of the country.
