Former Tipperary hurler seeks witnesses to accident in which he was knocked down

Former Tipperary and Dublin hurler Ryan O'Dwyer is looking for witnesses or dash cam footage to a traffic accident in which he says he was knocked down.

In a social media post he outlined that last month on Saturday 27th of April at 8.30pm he was involved in a road traffic incident underneath the Newlands Cross Bridge.

He said the other car crashed into the back of his red VW Transporter van.

Mr O'Dwyer is appealing for witnesses to the accident. He says his vehicle was hit by a car which drove off - but in doing so, knocked him to the ground.

"I am putting out an appeal to see if anyone has dash cam footage or is willing to come forward as a witness to the incident," he said.
He said his children were present when the alleged incident happened.
The Cashel native originally lined out for his home club, Cashel King Cormac's before transferring to Kilmacud Crokes in 2011.
He won provincial hurling titles in Munster and Leinster and also won a National Hurling League title with both Tipperary and Dublin.
