Willie Killeen marks 20th anniversary at the Anner Hotel
In 2020, as covid restrictions were being lifted and GAA competitions were about to resume, The Irish Examiner ran an article entitled “100 things to look forward to, now that the GAA is back.”
Within that 100, one of the items listed was the carvery at The Anner Hotel.
There is of course one face that is synonymous with the carvery at The Anner Hotel” that of chef Willie Killeen.
This week marks a special milestone as Willie celebrates 20 years at the Anner hotel, man and boy.
Everyone of us at the Anner are honoured to be able to call willie our colleague.
He is one of the kindest, most caring, thoughtful, good-humoured and dedicated people you could meet.
The US Marines have a saying: “never leave a man behind,” and that is Willie to the core.
He is the first to jump in and assist his colleagues, frequently going above and beyond the call of duty.
Ireland may have national treasures, but Willie is an Anner treasure.
Happy 20th anniversary Willie, thank you so much for all that you do for us and here’s to 20 more.
