Local Tipperary village open up new defibrillator to public

On Friday evening, members of the Skeheenarinky Vintage Club met at the National School to launch the new defibrillator which was funded from last years vintage run ,along with purchasing new defibrillators for Burncourt National School.

Ballylooby Community Council received €500 towards new pads and a battery for their defibrillator, and also Burncourt Community Council received €500 for new pads and a battery.

The Committee would like to thank Paul Dwane for making the stand for the defibrillator.

They also wish to thank Tommy O'Farrell & Patrick English for providing the machinery for the ground work that Brian Meaney did,and to Ger Fox for doing the electric work.

They are grateful to all club members and the public, without whom they say this would not have been possible.

There will be further information over the coming weeks in regards to training in the use of the defibrillator.

The Committee are busy at the moment planning the Vintage Run for Sunday, September 8, for the South Tipperary Alzheimers Society.
