Tributes have poured in for a Tipperary man who passed away after a long illness.
Jim Gallagher of Chestnut Drive, Clonmel, passed peacefully at home on September 9, surrounded by his family following a long illness bravely borne with great courage and dignity.
Predeceased by his mother Mena, father Jim and his sister Brenda. Jim, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, beloved wife Ann, cherished dad to Lorna and Saragh, son-in-law Graham, grandchildren Áine, James, Gracie and Hannah, sister Anita, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends.
Since the sad news broke, tributes have been pouring in for Jim.
"Deepest sympathy to Ann, Lorna Sandra and the extended Gallagher family on the very sad passing of Jim a total gent. Made my first Celtic trip with Jim. Rest easy Jim hope you catch up with old idols in Paradise," wrote a friend in tribute.
Reposing at his residence this Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7ol with removal on Thursday morning to St. Mary's Church, Irishtown arriving at 10.50am for requiem mass at 11am. Funeral thereafter to the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society. House private on Thursday morning.
