Council to close section of Carrick-on-Suir town centre street for one night

Tipperary County Council has announced it will temporarily close the R-676 at Carrick-on-Suir's historic West Gate at the end of Main Street from 7pm on Thursday, September 26 to 6am on Friday, September 27 to facilitate a sewer re-lining project.

The Council plans to divert HGVs via R-680 to cross the river at Fiddown Bridge onto the N24 to Carrick and divert cars either via Barrack Lane to North Quay and onto the N24 or via Chapel Lane to William Street and New Street to access the N24.
