The SCEAL group in Lorrha is hugely grateful to all those who supported Sunday's successful fundraiser concert with music from Mike Denver and band.
The committee hopes that everyone enjoyed the show in Rathcabbin, and want to thank everyone who travelled from near and far.
They send their thanks to the Parish Council for hosting the event at Rathcabbin Church, as well as all ticket sellers in neighbouring parishes, villages and towns and raffle prize donors too.
The event was set up to help raise much needed funds with construction underway on a long-awaited project at St Ruadhán's Hall in Lorrha, which will be the only shop in the villages of Lorrha, Rathcabbin and Redwood.
A 'Buy a Brick' campaign is also being run to allow people to donate €100 towards the cost of building the new shop and café.
A large sum of State funding has also been secured through the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
SCEAL (Social Community Enterprise for the Advancement of Lorrha/Rathcabbin) was established in 2016 in response to the closure of the last shop in the village, and as well as evolving to manage a seven-day per week community shop, it also promotes the rich cultural and historical background of the parish.
