Popular Tipperary pub celebrates landmark 60th anniversary

Murphy's pub, Templemore, celebrated its 60th anniversary last week.

Tom and Breda Murphy first opened the doors of their public house to the general public in 1964.

Breda was joined by her family, close relatives, friends and staff as they celebrated 60 years of family-run service, warmth, and hospitality to the community.

The event also brought together past and current staff members who have played key roles in the pub's rich history.

It was a memorable evening filled with laughter, stories, and shared memories as everyone gathered to toast six decades of success.

Tom passed away in 2018 but was recalled in many a story on Saturday night.

So here's to the next 60 years of Murphy's Pub, continuing to be a cherished part of Templemore's vibrant community.
