Two Tipperary Transition Year students to take part in ETB cooking competition

On Wednesday, January 15, two TY students from Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré, along with Home Economics teacher, Ms Loughnane, travelled to Archerstown, Thurles for the Induction Day for the upcoming ETB cookery competition.

They were shown around campus - through the kitchen and workshops which they say was an amazing experience.

They were given a private tutorial by Chef Fergal on culinary skills in the kitchen - and how to make chocolate cookies.

They were introduced to the other Tipperary ETB school teams who will be participating in the competition on Thursday, January 30, and had a photo opportunity with them including Director of Schools, Clodagh Kelly.

The two TY students who will be representing CPR in the competition are Ciara Crofton and Aoibhe McAndrew, who was not able to attend the induction day, substituted by Abi Marks.

The school says they look forward to hearing how they got on in the competition.
