Coláiste Phobal, Ros Cré congratulates its two TY groups who participated in the Irish Angus Beef competition to reach the National final.
Both groups completed their interviews last week to a panel from ABP, Kepak and The Irish Angus Beef Society and as a result, are two out of 46 groups who have been called forward to exhibit their project ideas at the next stage of the competition to a panel of Agri-food industry experts in Croke Park on the March 7.

Judges for this event will be drawn from industry experts across the Agri Food industry such as ABP, Kepak, Irish retailers (supermarket chains who sell Certified Irish Angus Beef), Teagasc, Bord Bia, Agriland, Farmers Journal etc.
The five groups who demonstrate the best understanding of their project will be announced as finalists and will be presented with five Angus calves at the National Ploughing Championships in September.
The school would like to thank the Irish Angus Beef Society for running this competition as our students have gained a greater understanding of the Beef Industry and the Certified Irish Angus Beef breed.
They have also developed various skills such as IT, communication and teamwork.
