Tipperary students from Ursuline Secondary School in Thurles have had their design qualify for the regional finals of fashion competition Junk Kouture.
GAA inspired dress ‘Presence Pitch Player’ represents the many steps you need to go through to get to the All-Ireland Final.
Designers Sinead O'Dwyer, Jessica Fogarty Quinn and Katie Flanagan explained how they made their design: “We used 344 strips of Polyvinyl chloride gold aluminium foil strips on our skirt which we got from the All-Ireland hurling final in Croke Park. We used 220 strips of bin bags which contained the gold confetti.

"On the cups of the top, we made loops of the hurley grips. We chose the loop design as everything involving GAA interlinks. We spray painted the outside of the loops black.
"On the Inside of the loops we spray painted four of the loops blue and added the gold confetti in the other two loops to represent our county colours of Tipperary. We curled gold confetti strips with some scissors by putting them at an angle and pressing on the gold. We added them onto the shoulder, as well as wrapping bell white wire in the gold confetti strips to clean up the look."
The students design will showcase in the regional finals of the competition which will be held in Dublin on March 5 and 6 this week.
