Tourism businesses based in and around Clonmel, Cahir, Cashel and Carrick-on-Suir are invited to attend a networking breakfast briefing by Tipperary tourism industry figures in Hotel Minella in Clonmel on Thursday, September 25.

The Connecting Cluster Breakfast Briefing will kick off at 8.30am and will offer tourism providers based in these towns and their hinterlands an opportunity to share and hear real-life learnings, routes to best practice, ways to overcome challenges and paths to success.

The Tipperary County Council event will open with Siobhan Burke of Wordhoard Communications followed by presentations from Tipperary Tourism Chairwoman Helen King, St Declan’s Way Committee Chairwoman Grainne Moynihan, Fáilte Ireland Officer for Ireland’s Ancient East Sheila Dooley Walsh, Sarah Jane Cleary, Commercial & Tourism Manager with Explore Carrick-on-Suir and Neil Dennehy of Highest Potential.

Attendees will learn about the potential of tourism in Tipperary and the potential of their own product offering in collaborating with cluster tourism.

“The Connecting Clusters Breakfast Briefing is the ideal opportunity for tourism businesses to meet up, share stories, solve problems and collaborate on exciting visitor experiences,” said Mairead Winters, Tourism Activator with Tipperary County Council.

“There are superb opportunities to tap into the heart of Tipperary, which is so rich in heritage, unspoilt landscapes, farm-to-fork ‘real food’ and friendly locals who can provide authentic hospitality that is unequalled.”

The County Council is hoping the event will “motivate and inspire” the tourism trade within Clonmel, Cahir, Cashel and Carrick-on-Suir to collaborate in enhancing visitor experiences and increasing dwelling time.

“This will be an opportunity to make new contacts and rekindle old connections,” said Ms Winters.

“Tourism providers will be able to find out more about how to get involved with Tipperary Tourism as well as discover the benefits of becoming a member.

“For those open to collaborating with other providers, there are increased opportunities through Fáilte Ireland, Tipperary Tourism, and Munster Vales, who can support the promotion of innovative packages through social media campaigns.”

She stressed the importance of cluster development within tourism to create strategic opportunities, promote unique saleable experiences and greater synergy in geographic tourism.

Ireland’s Ancient East Manager Derek Dolan said Fáilte Ireland is delighted to support this initiative.

“Networking and clustering are vital to unlocking south Tipperary’s tourism potential, enabling local businesses to collaborate and create stronger, more saleable visitor experiences.

“Connecting Clusters will start the process of building a confident, connected tourism ecosystem.

“This approach strengthens destination identity, boosts visibility and drives year-round tourism.
