Culture Night is back for its 20th anniversary on Friday, September 19, promising a countywide celebration of creativity, music, art, and performance. From Nenagh to Clonmel, towns across Tipperary will host a rich variety of free events, ensuring there is something for everyone.
Clonmel
Clonmel will light up with live performances, including Enter the Night 2025, an outdoor concert featuring emerging bands at Kickham Plaza from 8pm to midnight. The town will also host a pop-up art exhibition, a family-friendly puppet show by Des Dillon at Abbey Street Performance Space, and an evening of poetry at the STAC Chapel. The Tipperary Museum of Hidden History presents an exhibition on medieval manuscript traditions, ‘Carbon and Oak Gall Inks’, from 6pm to 8pm.

Nenagh
Nenagh’s programme includes Night Moves, an evening of multicultural poetry, music, and dance at Nenagh Arts Centre starting at 7pm, alongside the popular International Cuisine event. Teenagers can enjoy a Silent Disco from 8–10pm (booking required). Headway presents an art exhibition at the Pastoral Development Office (5–7pm), while The Thatched Cottage in Ballycommon hosts traditional music and storytelling with local group Tradult from 8pm.
Cloughjordan
The Thomas MacDonagh Museum will host Political Theatre: Learning from the past? – Creative Responses, an art exhibition curated by the North Tipperary Artists Collective from 7–10pm. Cloughjordan Cineclub will also screen Moulin Rouge outdoors at Coach House Square from 8:30pm, so visitors are advised to dress warmly.
Roscrea
Damer House Gallery presents an evening with multidisciplinary artists Áine Ryan and Jenny Fox. Age Friendly Roscrea hosts poetry readings at the Old Courthouse.
Thurles
Mary Immaculate College will offer historical tours followed by a music concert in the chapel. The Source Arts Centre hosts a full programme including an artist talk by Francis Tansey, a Youth Open Mic, and the Culture Café with Meitheal 21. Jigsaw will present Read Mór events with author Niamh Mulvey.
Tipperary Town
Tipperary Town will showcase music, art, and workshops across the community, including performances by the County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra and the Michael John Ryan String Quartet, live acoustic music in the Market Yard, a Manga art workshop, and exhibitions at 6s & 7s Gallery and Creative Places.
Cahir
Cahir Comhaltas will host two music and dance sessions at St. Paul’s Church and the Shamrock Lounge, while Cahir Arts offers a clay sculpture workshop. Visitors can also enjoy an interactive sing-along, Sing Songs from the Shows, led by Suzanne Buttimer.
Cashel
Gallery 2022 at Cashel Library will host an exhibition from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Fethard and Dualla
Fethard Town Hall and the Dualla community will also host Culture Night events, highlighting local creativity and community engagement.
From poetry and painting to music, theatre, and food, Culture Night 2025 promises to bring Tipperary’s towns alive, offering a celebration of creativity for all ages. Residents and visitors alike are invited to explore the county’s rich cultural landscape and take part in a memorable evening of arts and entertainment.
