Attendees were greeted with a warm drinks reception on arrival, setting a convivial tone for the afternoon. This was followed by a carefully prepared dinner, accompanied by dessert and a selection of tea and coffee, ensuring that all guests were well catered for.

The organisers extended their heartfelt thanks to the TY students and the numerous volunteers whose efforts were instrumental in the smooth running of the event.

A highlight of the afternoon was a special raffle, held in support of Sr Mary and an overseas educational project. The raffle attracted generous participation from attendees, reflecting the community’s commitment to charitable causes.

Entertainment for the day was provided by Eddie Golden, whose musical performances have become a firm favourite at the club’s events. Mr Golden’s repertoire, which appeals across generations, contributed to the lively and celebratory atmosphere.

In sum, the afternoon at Hall na Féile offered a welcome opportunity for socialising and enjoyment, reinforcing the Lions Club’s ongoing dedication to community engagement and support for senior citizens.
