Planning permission has been sought for alterations to be made to a Tipperary primary school.
Scoil Naomh Peadar (Moycarkey NS) in Drumgower is seeking permission for the development of a single storey extension and alterations to existing school including all associated site works.

Permission is also sought for demolition of existing shed.
The proposed development includes a new school extension, reconfigured and expanded car parking, a new dedicated pupil set-down/pick-up zone, upgraded footpaths and access routes, modifications to hard and soft landscaping, and a full upgrade of the surface water drainage system.
The works would introduce approximately 2,900 metres squared of paved surface, approximately 1,325 metres squared of new roof area, and landscaped SuDS features including rain gardens, filter strips and infiltration basins.
The application was submitted by the Board of Management of Scoil Naomh Peadar (Moycarkey NS).

The total area in which operations would be carried out is 275 metres squared.
The final decision on the application is expected by February 4, 2026.
