A teenager is being charged following a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of Áine O'Reilly last month

BREAKING: Teenager charged over collision that caused the death of Limerick nurse

A teenager has been charged in connection with an investigation into a hit-and-run incident which resulted in the death of a woman in Co Limerick last month.

Gardaí arrested the man in the Castleconnell area of Limerick yesterday morning.

He was charged this morning, and is due to appear before the Limerick District Court later today.

He is being questioned by Gardaí, who are investigating the collision that took the life of Áine O’Reilly, 33, on February 13.

O’Reilly, a nurse from Pallasgreen, Co Limerick, was driving to work at Shannondoc, when another car struck her car.

A man who was caught up in the incident was treated at the time for minor injuries.
