Burglars break into second Tipperary primary school

Burglars stole a significant sum of cash from Clogheen Primary School over the weekend.

The break-in to the school was discovered this morning (Monday) when students and staff returned after the weekend.

A Cahir Garda Station spokesman said the money was stolen from a prefab building on the school grounds.

He appealed to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Clogheen Primary School over the past few days to contact Cahir Garda Station at (052) 7441222.

This is the second burglary of a primary school in South Tipperary in the past week. Thomastown National School was broken into last Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
