Firemen at the scene of the Tipperary Hostel blaze.
Firemen are tackling a blaze at the former Tipperary Hostel in Tipperary Town.
Fire crews and gardai are at the scene.
Photographs show that parts of the roof have been destroyed.
Firemen check out the building.
The building has been vacant for about eight years since the hostel closed.
The building, located opposite Sean Treacy GAA field, was the former workhouse and is a well known landmark in the town.
