Roscrea Gardai are investigating what is being described as a "serious" assault on Main Street at approximately 3am last Sunday.
The victim had to be hospitalised following the incident.
However, no details of the extent of the victim's injuries have been released.
Meanwhile, Meanwhile, in Roscrea two youths were arrested, one at Townparks, and the other in Main Street, following a disturbance in the town on Wednesday night of last week.
At 10.35pm on Saturday night last in Main Street, Roscrea an individual suspected of breaching public order subsequently became violent, according to Gardaí, and pepper spray was used to restrain him.
