The driver of a car who died in a single vehicle collision near Cashel on Friday, has been named as Tom Gleeson, originally from Gaile, Thurles.
Mr Gleeson died when the vehicle he was driving struck a fence in Ardmayle, nearly four miles outside the town of Cashel, at around 11.30pm on Friday night (April 6th).
Thomas Gleeson was the beloved son of the late Bill and Noreen. He is deeply mourned by his loving wife Nuala, daughters Aideen and Bríd, granddaughters Mia and Layla, sisters Bridget, Josephine, Mary and Kathleen, parents-in-law Anne and Rodger, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Mr Gleeson's Funeral details are as follow: Reposing at Devitt’s Funeral Parlour this Monday evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Peter’s Church, Moycarkey for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Moycarkey.
The road was closed on Friday while diversions were put place for traffic, to allow an examination of the scene by Garda forensic collision investigators. His body has been taken to South Tipperary General Hospital.
