Consistent with its long standing business-friendly approach, Tipperary County Council has extended its Rates Early Payment Plan for 2018.
First launched in 2016, the Plan is designed to support small and medium businesses by offering rates reductions where the rate-payer makes payment in a timely manner. In the context of the County already having a Rates Valuation among the five lowest Authorities in the Country, in 2017 663 ratepayers saved in excess of €79,000 by participating in the scheme.
A 6% or 5% reduction may be applied, as a financial support, to occupiers of commercial properties with total annual Commercial Rates bill of up to €5,000 in 2018, subject to a number of terms and conditions.
A reduction of €300 or €250 may be applied, as a financial support, to occupiers of commercial properties with total annual Commercial Rates bill between €5,000 and €12,000 in 2018, subject to the terms and conditions of the scheme.
