A man has been stabbed in Tipperary town tonight.
The incident happened in the Cluainn Arann area around Avondale Crescent.
Gardai have sealed off the area as investigations continue.
Confirming the attack, a garda spokesman has appealed for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.
The victim of the stabbing has been removed to hospital.
The extent of his injuries are unknown at this stage.
The victim is understood to be local to the area.
