Burglars strike at Co. Tipperary’s Ballydoye Racing Stables

Two houses at the famous Ballydoyle Stables near Rosegreen were burgled last Thursday morning and gardai are trying to trace a silver car spotted leaving the horse racing training facility around the time the break ins occurred.

Jewellery was the main target of the burglars who broke into the houses that accommodate stables staff members between 10.30am and 10.45am on June 7.

A Cahir Garda Station spokesman said gardai were anxious to hear from anyone who saw a small silver car, possibly an Opel, with a 03 or 04 registration in the vicinity of Ballydoyle last Thursday.

Anyone with information that may assist gardai investigating the break-ins to contact Cahir Garda Station at (052) 7441222 or Cashel Garda Station at (062) 62866.
