The N24 between Tipperary and Limerick is closed following a collision near Dromkeen this morning.
Two people are believed to have died in the collision between a car and a truck at around 10.30am.
Diversions are in place while the scene remains cordoned off by Gardai to allow for an investigation into the incident.
Two units from Cappamore Fire Station were sent to the scene on the Limerick side of the village.
Gardai are also in attendance along with paramedics from the National Ambulance Service.
