A great national ploughman Eddie Halley steps down after 25 service to National Ploughing Association

South Tipp Ploughing County Chairman Bernie Sheehey presented Eddie Halley with a token of recognition for 25 years of service to the National Ploughing Association.

A celebration to recognise Eddie Halley's 25 years of service to the National Ploughing Association (NPA) took place at Moloney's Pub in Poulmucka on Saturday, July 21. 

Eddie is stepping down as Assistant Director of the NPA and has been awarded the title of Life Member of the NPA. 

A great crowd gathered in Moloney's for the celebration including NPA members near and far.  Managing Director of the NPA Anna May McHugh, National Chairman Denis Keohane, World Ploughing Champion Eamon Tracey and the well known voice of the NPA Carrie Acheson all attended the event. 

The large crowd and list of special guests is a measure of the high esteem in which Eddie is held within the NPA and lloughing community. 

South Tipperary Ploughing County Chairman Bernie Sheehy and Anna May McHugh made presentations to Eddie. 

A great evening was had by all and the Moloney family in Poulmucka pulled out all the stops to set up the venue for the event. 

The NPA and local community  wish Eddie and his family the best in the future and thank him for his dedication over the last 25 years.
