The pedestrian who was fatally injured in a road traffic accident on the M8 motorway on Sunday evening has been named.
Harry Keskinen (49) was killed when he was struck by a truck on the southbound carriageway on the M8 close to junction 11 shortly after 5pm at Tincurry, near Cahir.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident however he was treated for shock at South Tipperary General Hospital.
Mr Keskinen was originally from Austrailia and is believed to have been living near Rosegreen, Cashel.

This was the second tragedy to hit Tipperary roads over the weekend following an accident involving a motorcyclist and a car on Saturday evening.
Mikie (Mike) Sweeney from Knocknaboula, Foynes was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a collision with a car on the N24 between Clonmel and Carrick on Suir at around 6.15pm on Saturday.
Mr Sweeney, who was a volunteer driver with Blood Bikes Mid West, is survived by his wife Jules, his father Jimmy and his brothers JJ and Frank.
His funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary's Church, Askeaton at 12 midday on Wednesday.
