Power restored to nearly 2500 Co. Tipp premises where electricity cut off due to Storm Ali

ESB Networks has so far restored power to nearly 2500 homes, farms and businesses in Co. Tipperary that suffered power outages this morning due to Storm Ali. 

The areas in the county still affected by power outages according ESB Networks PowerCheck are the Cahir area, Garrancarty near Cashel, Glengoole, Thurles, Borrisoleigh and Roscrea. 

The biggest outage is in the Thurles area where 773 customers are without electricity at the moment. 

More than 3600 homes, farms and businesses in Co. Tipperary were without electricity power earlier this morning. 

ESB crews are working to repair faults caused by the storm. 

The ESB Networks PowerCheck service highlights electricity power outages in the Cahir and Grange areas affecting a total of 147 customers while in the Glengoole area 292 customers are currently without power. 

Meanwhile, Tipperary Co. Council has warned motorists to avoid the Emly to Hospital Road and use an alternative route as there is a fallen tree on it.
