8yr old Ellie Rose Richardson from Borrisokane, Tipperary and 10yr old Nicole Griffin from Rhebogue Rd, Limerick have been nominated for a Share a Dream Child of Courage Award
The 13th Dream Ball and National Children of Courage Awards takes place in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Limerick on Saturday 24th November. The annual gala hosted by the Share A Dream Foundation, is the only event of its kind in Europe and promises to be a glamourous, magical and very special evening. Muireann O’ Connell of the Six O’ Clock Show TV3 and Today FM will be one of the many celebrity supporters in attendance with 2FMs Will Leahy providing the MC on the night.
Eight very special children, who have shown unbelievable courage and determination in the face of illness, have been selected from nominations from all over Ireland. Their determination to get as much out of life as possible in spite of their illness or disability will be honoured and their dreams will come true on the night.
Honouring these children gives many other families all over Ireland, struggling to come to terms with a seriously ill child, the hope that their child can have a fulfilled life. These children deserve recognition and to know that they are not alone and not forgotten about and that there is light at a very dark tunnel.
“There is no greater joy in the world than seeing the smile on the face of a very special child who has suffered so much in their short and traumatic young lives when their fondest dream comes true, knowing you made it happen. It’s magic!!” said Shay Kinsella, Founder/CEO.
The Dream Ball is a magical night to remember with wonderful surprises, non-stop entertainment, fine food, great company, dancing till late and a wonderful feeling of sharing in the achievements of these inspiring children and celebrating life and our blessings.
Please help us honour and recognise sick and disabled children and allow us to bring a little magic something special into their lives when their fondest dreams come true.
Make the Dream Ball your Christmas celebration with our family friends or work mates and share the real spirit of Christmas reaching out a hand of love and support by being part of the Dream Ball.
