Boys and girls get ready - Santa Claus is coming to Clonmel this Saturday
The new civic plaza at the former Kickham Barracks on The Mall, Clonmel, will host its first major event this Saturday, December 3, when Santa Claus will parade from the West Gate to the plaza at 4pm.
A large attendance is expected to turn out for the parade, as Clonmel’s Christmas celebrations get underway.
With the threat that hung over the provision of the Christmas lights in the town centre now removed, several events have been organised to make it a memorable festive season in the town.
The Kickham Barracks Plaza will also host musical performances from 3-5pm on Saturday, December 17.
Santa’s Grotto will operate in East Lane, Gladstone Street, from 2-4pm on three Sundays in the next few weeks - December 4, 11 and 18.
There will also be a Santa Dash and Christmas Karaoke in O’Connell Street and at the Main Guard from 2.30-5pm on Saturday December 10.
