BREAKING: Gardaí issue important update on the Templemore college pool for all groups

The gardaí have released a statement saying they will contact the Templemore groups awaiting a response this week.

In a previous statement, they said they were in the process of reopening the pool and would contact the local schools this week. 

However, a spokesperson for the gardaí clarified to Tipperarylive that all groups who have used the pool before the closure are to be contacted.

In their response to our enquiry, the spokesperson said:

"As previously stated, any group that have had access to the pool before it closed will be contacted this week by the Garda College to inform them of this and ensure that their licence application for use of the pool is submitted to the OPW."

This week, Tipperarylive reported that the We Just Want to Swim campaign Templemore and some local schools have been unable to contact the college.

The group said they felt the college had gone back on their word.
