The feature race goes to post at 1.45

The Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle is the highlight of an eight-race card at Clonmel Racecourse this afternoon.

The Grade Three contest is worth €20,650 to the winner and goes to post at 1.45.

The three-mile contest has three runners - the favourite Ballybow, which is trained by Gordon Elliot; the Willie Mullins-trained Ballygunner Castle and the rank outsider Kalnoo, which is trained by Paul Stephen Kiely.

The first race at Powerstown Park is the Surehaul Race Day Mares Maiden Hurdle at 12.35, and the card concludes with the Monksgrange Beginners Chase at 4.35.
