New ladies committee elected at County Tipperary Golf and Leisure Club (Dundrum)

Mens Golf:

The final of the Winter League will take place on Sunday next January 19th at 10.30. It will be a Matchplay Competition.

The Teams competing for 1st & 2nd place are Team No. 5 Captained by Robert Hogan and including John Grogan, Gerry Maher, Tony Reade, L J Ryan, Pakie Ryan, & Richard O’Keeffe competing against Team No. 12 Captained by Des O’Neill and including Joe Burke, Darragh Stapleton, Kevin McCarthy Matt Carr, Albie Maher, & John Graves. 

The Teams competing for 3rd & 4th place are Team No. 2 Captained by Michael O’Grady and including Paudie Carr, Brian Webster, Michael Hanly, PA Skeffington, Aiden Fogarty & Aidan Skeffington which are competing against Team No. 14 Captained by Marian Riordan and including Colin Ryan, Danny O’Dwyer, Michael Ryan (R/G), Jack Bergin, Johnny Hannigan & Ken Whelan. 

We wish everyone the very best on the day. We will be eagerly awaiting the result.

The Spring League:

Those interested in the playing in the Spring League please put your name on the time sheet on the notice board. It will be a team of five with four scores to count in each round play over 9 holes.

Ladies Golf:

Ladies golf: Unfortunately the weather conditions didn’t allow much Golf as the Course was closed for most of the week.

The Spring League is starting next Sunday the 22nd January if you wish to play please make sure your name is on the sheet by the computer or let our Competitions secretary or lady captain know.

The Ladies Committee had their first meeting of 2023 last Monday 10th January.

The committee consist of 11 elected lady members who work together for the good of its members.

It is headed up by our Lady Captain Jacinta Coman and their Names and positions are;  Vice Lady Captain Mary O’Donnell, Honorary Secretary  Judy Hayes, Honorary Treasurer Helena Ryan,  Assistant Treasurer Sheena Ryan, PRO Niamh Chadwick, Handicap Secretary Frances Boyle, Handicap Committee Niamh Chadwick & Marie Graves. Competitions Secretary Caroline O’ Dwyer, Competitions Committee Teresa Canny, Frances Boyle, Niamh Chadwick, Anne Grace, Jacinta Coman, Mary O’Donnell, Marie Graves and Judy Hayes.  Junior Convenor: Marie Graves.

If any of the lady members would like to communicate with the committee they can do so in person or if they have a suggestion they can put it in writing sign their name to it, and put it in the suggestion box located in the Locker room and it will be discussed at our monthly committee meetings.

The Winter Series for November/ December:

The Qualifiers were; in 1st place Dylan Robinson with 26pts, in 2nd place Richard O’Keeffe with 24pts. The Best Gross Pat Ryan (Knockavilla) with 21 gross. In 3rd place Patrick Ryan with 24pts, in 4th place Joe Murray with 23pts & in 5th place John O’Donovan with 23pts.

Two's winners:

The Two’s winners were: Andrew Heffernan with 2 @ the 6th & 2 @the 1st, Daniel Healy 2 @ the 6th, Michael Butler 2 @ the 1st, Michael O’Grady 2 @ the 1st, Aidan Murphy 2 @the 3rd & Brian Everard 2 @ the 3rd.
