GREAT NIGHT!: Brilliant celebrations at Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA dinner dance

The Kilruane MacDonaghs Dinner Dance took place in the Abbey Court Hotel last Saturday night.

Marty Morrissey was MC for the function. Guests included County Chairman Joe Kennedy and his wife Maureen, former County Secretary Tim Floyd and his wife Cora, Dan & Hazel Quirke, Clonoulty Rossmore Chairman Andrew Fryday and his wife Cathy.

Joe Kennedy presented the senior hurlers with their County championship medals and the junior footballers with their North & County medals. The management team of Liam O’Kelly, Christy Morgan, Brian O’Meara and Pat Murphy received presentations in recognition of their tremendous work in guiding both teams to success.

Willie Cleary picked up the senior hurler of the year accolade. Chairman Dave Carroll made a presentation to outgoing Chairman Joe Whelan, who provided very effective leadership during his five-year term and his wife Breda was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Ann Carroll.

Thanks to Bridget Delaney who was on hand to take the photographs, Tradstone who supplied the entertainment and the management and staff of the Abbey Court for providing an excellent meal and ensuring that everything was in order.
