Following their defeat of St Attracta’s of Tubbercurry in the semi-final, the footballers of Abbey CBS, Tipperary will travel to The Downs GAA Club in Mullingar, Co Westmeath on Saturday to take on Tyrone team St Joseph’s of Donaghmore in the Masita Post Primary Schools All-Ireland Senior B Football Final.
The match starts at 1.30pm.
The Tipperary school had to do it the hard way in the semi-final, and will be hoping to tap into the same reserves of resilience and determination in their attempt to lift the Paddy Drummond Cup.
Abbey beat St Attracta’s 3-0 in a penalty shootout after extra-time failed to separate the sides in a thrilling semi-final.
They were beaten in the semi-final of this competition last year, and now that they have reached the decider for the first time in eight years they will be hopeful of going all the way.
