The Sologhead GAA Club's Annual Road Hurling Tournament will take place this Friday, St. Patrick's Day, commencing at 3pm.
ROAD HURLING TOURNAMENT
The Sologhead GAA Club's Annual Road Hurling Tournament to commemorate two great Club stalwarts Bill “Billa” Stapleton and Jack Riordan will take place this Friday, St. Patrick's Day, commencing at 3pm. Teams of 3 (Adults €30 / U17 €15).
Registration on the day at Jimmy White’s Car Park Bohertrime where entry payments can be made through card reader or to Tournament Organiser Phillip Doherty Jnr. Team entry payment may also be made in advance link on the GAA Facebook page.
The designated course is from Jimmy Whites to the Kyle Rail crossing and back. Adult winners will receive the “Billa” Stapleton trophy while the Juvenile winners will receive the Jack Riordan award.
In the first of a number of vital fundraising initiatives which the club intend to embark on throughout the year, details which can be found on Sologheads Facebook page, well done to Louisie O’Dwyer who scooped the load of timber in the recent draw which should keep the home fires in Ardlamon burning for some time.
Sologhead GAA Club are currently seeking sponsors for pitch side advertising and any interested party or business should contact Club Chairperson Tim Hanley on 086 - 823 7187.
