Co Senior Hurling League: We will play Drom and Inch in Round 3 of the Co SHL on Sunday next at 1pm in MacDonagh Park.
Lotto Donation: As part of the Nenagh Éire Óg Community Friendly Lotto, we recently donated €500 to locals Mary Sheils and Ciara Kennedy who will be travelling as volunteers to the Special Olympics World games which take place in Berlin in June.
Since our Community Friendly lotto started in June 2020 we have now donated over €6,000 to local charities.
Lotto: This week’s lotto jackpot was €6,400. You can play the lotto each week at the following businesses in the town where our new lotto boxes are located: The Hi-B, JKC, Centra, The 44 Bar, Cleary’s Daybreak and Andy’s. The lotto can also be played online through the link on the club website and social media sites or contact any committee member to sign up.
Membership: All membership for 2023 should have been paid by the end of March. If you have not already done so please pay this membership ASAP. For insurance purposes all players must have their membership paid. 90th birthday: Congrats to our club president Mick Hynes, who recently celebrated his 90th. Belated happy birthday Mick and here’s to you celebrating many more birthdays!
Éire Ógres: Éire Ógres are back on Saturday April 22. Spread the word in schools, after school, creches, to neighbours, friends and family. Looking to get our biggest number of Little Ógres Stars enrolled and having loads of fun over the four weeks.
Easter Camp: We had a marvelous Easter camp last week with our biggest number of children attending. Thanks to Niall, Pat, Catherine, Páuric and all the coaches for their efforts in running one of our best camps yet.
Youth Academy: The 2023 Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Youth Academy proudly sponsored by Albany Home Decor Nenagh and A Sportsmans Dream is underway and welcoming new boys to join in and give hurling and football a try. Contact club social media with any queries.
U13 Football: North semi-final matches are upon us for all three teams this week. Wishing our three U13 Football teams and the management groups the very best of luck in their football semi finals, fixtures are as follows: Wednesday April 12: U13A team play Kilruane in Nenagh at 6.15pm; U13C team play Shannon Rovers in Nenagh at 7.15pm; Friday, April 14: U13D team play Roscrea in Roscrea at 6.45pm.
The juvenile club would love to see all of our families including our younger members out in their Nenagh Éire Óg colours supporting the boys.
U15: Well done to the boys and the management team on progressing from their group to the knockout stages of the hurling Féile on Saturday in Clonoulty. The boys will play Kiladangan next weekend in the next round, fixture tbc. Upcoming football fixture is on April 13 when we play Toomevara at 6.30pm in MacDonagh Park.
