NEW INN'S Diarmuid Barron put in a storming game for Munster in South Africa on Saturday last.

RUGBY NEWS
Congrats to local man, and one of our own, Diarmuid Barron who scored the opening two tries in Munster’s stunning two points victory over Stormers of South Africa who had been on a 19-game unbeaten home streak over two years.

The game was played in Cape Town last Saturday last.
Diarmuid is a son of Kevin and Alice, Racecourse Cross and it is a proud moment for New Inn/ Knockgraffon parish and Rockwell Rovers Club to watch one of our own putting in a tremendous performance on the big stage.

THANK YOU
A great crowd turned up to support the fundraiser in aid of Critical Emergency Medical Response (formerly Irish Community Air Ambulance) last Friday evening in Barrons pub, New Inn.
Over 35 teams took part in the Table quiz and the overall winners were presented with their prizes (kindly sponsored by Flynn Accountant, Clonmel and Donnie Barrett, Barrett Haulage) by James Brown.
A big thank you to MC on the night Karl McHugh, Mary Francis Barron for hosting the event, organisers Mattie and Elaine Cummins and to everyone who donated spot prizes for the raffle and helped out on the night. To continue this life-saving work, the Critical Emergency Medical Response relies on fundraising efforts. It costs an average of €25,000 to establish a Volunteer Doctor and €120,000 to equip a new Critical Care response vehicle. However, with your support, they can expand their service to reach more communities in Ireland. Well done to all involved.
