Five Clonmel boxers returned home from the national championship held in Dublin with All Ireland medals.

Kaysie Joyce won gold when she took the girl 3, 57kg Irish title, her third Irish title in consecutive years. Alanna Kenny claimed the girl 4, 70kg gold, her fourth Irish title in a row.

Silver medal winners were Sam McGrath at boy 2, 43kg after a great display in the final and Lewis Hackett - Kenny who was beaten by the narrowest of margins in the boy 4, 85kg final.

This was on top of Shauna O’Keeffe’s brilliant national senior elite 63kg title gold medal win in January, to round off another successful year for the Clonmel club.
