CBS Thurles Gaisce students at the Birr Outdoor Education Centre
On Monday and Tuesday this week 37 Transition year students completed their Adventure Journey element for their Gaisce awards.
On Monday morning, they left the school bright and early and headed off on their two day adventure.
As they arrived at Birr Outdoor Education Centre, the sun shone.
On day one, the boys had a day of canoeing, an evening with a swim, a dinner and a bonfire.

After a night of camping, students hit the road on Tuesday morning for a trek across the Slieve Blooms.
With the weather on their side again, the group encountered a variety of landscapes, from bog land to forestry paths to mountain streams.
A wonderful morning was had, and the entire trip is one students will see as a highlight of Transition Year.
