Top-class line-up of artists are ready to shine at  festival in Clonoulty!

The Whistlin Donkeys are heading to Clonoulty!

What a line up of bands for 'The West's Awake' festval in Clonoulty! The quality of bands ready to take the stage on Bank Holiday weekend is really high this year. Here is a rundown of the big names:


THE WHISTLIN’ DONKEYS
The Whistlin’ Donkeys are a lively six piece Irish folk rock bandwhose unique blend of music and song has attracted a huge following. Consisting of Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Vocals, The Whistlin’ Donkeys sound is rooted in their strong traditional Irish basis. This is strengthened and fused with the driving rock influences.


THE REBEL HEARTS
The passionate ballad group were formed in 2000 when school friends Jamie Mockler and Paudie Coen assembled in a shed not far from Holycross. There, they met with Paudie Doran and soon after they were joined by Liam Coen and Tom Doran. From this gathering The Rebel Hearts were formed. Three albums followed with a tour of Australia in 2001. They are 23 years on the road and have no sign of slowing down yet.


MOLLY O CONNELL
Tipperary Music Star, Molly O’Connell, has made a huge impact in country music circles since recently coming onto the scene.
She appeared on the top rated Glór Tíre TG4 Show where she was mentored by her great friend Louise Morrissey. To date, Molly has released five original singles, all of which were hugely popular.


SILVER DOLLAR
James, Sean, Martin, Glen and Tommy make up a five piece Wedding Band with 25 years experience. They have been voted Number 1 Wedding Band in Munster on numerous occasions. Their various tastes in music enhance their popularity, attracting
them to all age groups. This is a day not to be missed.
