County Tipperary Community Games champion gymnasts crowned at Cahir

The gymnastics event of the Community Games took place last Sunday in Cahir Community Hall where there were 15 gymnasts from parishes in Tipperary competing in the county final.

There were many medals winners on the day and the county champions going forward to the finals in August are Sophie McEvoy - U15 county champion, Mia Guthrie - U13 county champion, Molly Boles - U11 county champion and Ella Lynch - U9 county champion.

There were many other medals awarded on the day also as well as one for every competitor and everyone enjoyed the day.

Thanks to Paula Dempsey Boles, Joe Guthrie & Helpers of Flip N Twist Gymnastics Club, Community Games activist Peggy Coleville, Michael Maher County Chairman and the Judge Jennifer who came all the way from Wexford on the day as well as all the parents and especially all the wonderful Gymnasts for making it such a great day for all involved.

The winners now go on to compete in the National Finals Carlow in the beginning of August 2023. We wish them all the very best of luck.

TRACK AND FIELD EVENING
The Cahir Community Games Track and Field evening took place on Sunday May 14 on the Main Field of Cahir GAA. The winners will now go on to compete in the Athletics County Finals that will be held in Templemore on June 4, 2023. All eligible athletes will be contacted during this week and all athletes have to be registered on line before this Sunday night of May 28.

The Secretary Martin Hanrahan will register participants. We wish them all the very best of luck in the County Finals. All queries to cahir@communitygames.eu
