Tipperary senior hurling boss Liam Cahill looks set to be hit with a four-week side-line ban by the GAA hierarchy following his red card against Limerick.
Cahill was sent off late on in Sunday's Munster hurling clash with Limerick after a dubious line ball went against his side, and the Ballingarry man ran down the line to remonstrate with linesman James Owens.
If enforced, the suspension would mean he would miss the Waterford game on Sunday and a subsequent Munster Final should Tipperary dispatch Waterford on Sunday.
The ban would mean the Tipperary boss would not allowed any contact with the team on match-days in what would be a major blow for the Premier.
